Devyanosto Posted Thursday at 12:21 PM Posted Thursday at 12:21 PM Log attached. Thought it might be mod-related so I ran a scenario without any apart from SRS. Things tried so far: integrity check, updated NVIDIA driver, windows is current, DCS is current. In the past I've unlocked the core, tailored DCS settings to my machine, etc. Been a while since I've had crash to desktop. Logs mention lots of "voice chat log" related things - even single player. Multiplayer lags far more than it used to. dcs.log-20250626-121137.zip dcs.20250626-121137.log
sleighzy Posted Friday at 06:21 AM Posted Friday at 06:21 AM I've run your log file through the DCS log analyzer. This is log shows you have mods, at least one with errors. Repeat issue without mods and drop another log when it crashes again in case anything is being masked. The DxDiag report showed Windows killing the DCS process, and also an issue with TrackIR. Nothing definitive, I don't know if TrackIR was a cause or side-effect, or something else unrelated. TrackIR5.exe: c0000005 (TrackIR5.exe), c000041d (TrackIR5.exe) DCS.exe: was hung and killed, c0000005 (DCS.exe) Remove all your mods and run a slow repair of the game (Verify Files in Steam). Note that DCS on Steam may not do as good of a job as Standalone. Delete your Saved Games\DCS\fxo and metashaders2 folders. Delete %LOCALAPPDATA\TEMP\DCS If it continues to crash then try renaming Saved Games\DCS to DCS.old and try again. Rename so you can copy your bindings back from the Config\Input folder. A number of tuning items were identified, which would indicate some settings are a little high for your specs. Turn off SSLR. (performance hit with little benefit) Turn off SSAO. (performance hit with little benefit) Set Preload Radius to max. 30000. (recommended given you only have 32Gb RAM, you're loading a bunch of potentially redundant stuff into your VRAM and RAM) Decrease Terrain Textures. Set Shadows to Low. Disable Tacview for performance reasons. Set Clouds to Standard. Turn off Terrain Object Shadows. Set Textures to Medium. Turn down Anisotropic Filtering. Enable Full Screen mode. Set Water to Low. The stack trace from your log below has been mentioned in another thread on another couple of servers. Unknown if related however. Can you replicate this issue in both single player and multiplayer? 2025-06-26 12:11:37.389 INFO EDCORE (Main): SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: 'E:\Steamy\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\bin;', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'david' 2025-06-26 12:11:37.390 INFO EDCORE (Main): OS-Version: 10.0.19045 () 0x300-0x1 2025-06-26 12:11:37.390 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000073f554 (DCS): SW + 0x127434 2025-06-26 12:11:37.391 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000797197 (DCS): SW + 0x17F077 2025-06-26 12:11:37.391 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000071778f (DCS): SW + 0xFF66F 2025-06-26 12:11:37.392 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000000461b (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x3EB 2025-06-26 12:11:37.392 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000004c42 (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x262 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
