Throttle X axis assignment lost in multiplayer?

Hi,

I'm new to multiplayer servers (playing a FW-190D in 4YA's Project Overlord server), and find that when I spawn in my throttle X axis isn't moving the in-plane throttle lever (other button assignments still work). It is immediately fine if I go back to a solo mission. Any suggestions as to what might be going on here?
