Marianas as "Inverted Solomon's" stand-in - tell me what you think.

Marianas used as North to South Solomon's stand in for Black Sheep campaign.

  1. 1. Marianas as Solomon's, starting north, working/operating south vs real life south to north.

    • Yes please! We'll likely never have a Solomon's map, and if we do it's going to be forever....go for it I'm in!

    • Lame, just go south to north and deal with the smaller islands...I can't handle pretending that we're going north when my compass says 180 degrees and the map says we're going south. My brain is already melting.

    • Portray actual historical Corsair operations on the Marianas map as presented...I know that there really wasn't any to speak of, but still do that anyway.

    • Without carrier ops I'm not interested. Who are these so called "Black Sheep" you speak of anyway? Sounds like you made that up.

Would you appreciate a Black Sheep campaign using Marianas as a South to North, Solomon's stand-in? We start north, work south. If we go south to north as in real life, then the islands get smaller and less dramatic which is a no-go. If we go north to south, then Guam can be "Choiseul" etc. A base in the middle can  be "Reketa Bay" Otherwise we're dealing the final battles over Pagan which I just cant' do...or fly out of Rota, north to Siapan as "Bougainville" just weighing options here.

North to south would take some suspension of disbelief obviously, but in my view a minor thing over all. However I want to know how you guys feel.

Upon further reflection and testing, likely will go north from Guam to Saipan...flight distances are long enough for the average player I think.

We're still going northeast instead of northwest, but it's better than southwest.
