tarnlicht Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) Hi all, I have a Question, I was flying the H4 Take down mission in my MI-24. it runs smooth almost all the time (90FPS) but when i look at the Airfield the FPS is dropping down to around 60 FPS. i did some testing and as you can see in the video i have an overview of the cores and GPU load. i'm not a real expert on this but i was wondering what cause this massive FPS drop when looking in that direction. i already did a DCS Log analyzer but i found no issues. i have a decent beefy machine and for me it looks like there is still some headroom but maybe im wrong. WipeUout Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I don't have this helo and mission but the cause could be that there are lots of assets on that airfield. Any mission that has many airframes or vehicles added on an area or airfield will cause FPS drop. Although you may have headroom with your GPU, if the CPU rendering thread goes 100%, you will have less FPS eve though your overall CPU usage may be only at 50%. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 9800X3D, RTX 4090, 96GB DDR 5, MSI Tomahawk 870E, Crucial 2TB x 2, TM WARTHOG COMBO + PENDULAR RUDDER PEDALS, THE AMAZING PIMAX 8K X, Sony 5.1 Spks+SubW | DCS, A-10C_II, AH-64D, F-14/15E/16/18, F-86F, AV-8B, M-2000C, SA342, Huey, Spitfire, FC3.
tarnlicht Posted 40 minutes ago Author Posted 40 minutes ago Thanks for the reply, I there any CPU that can handle such thing at the moment? or is it useless to swap? Greetings
