Well at least the video on the Steam store page shows Win 11 24H2. (@ 10s) That's great news isn't it? Huge! Edited August 13 by Tom Kazansky

Tom Kazansky Posted August 14 Posted August 14 (edited) Further good news from the Steam store page: Quote This driver does not require the Mixed Reality Portal application and is therefore compatible with the latest versions of Windows 11 Edited August 14 by Tom Kazansky 1

Well I get your point but asking if a version of a 3rd party driver will run with a certain version of Win11 seems to be valid, especially after significant Windows updates. Here it's quite obvious that Oasis will be made for the latest Windows 11 versions, because that's what it's all about, though. 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 14 ED Team Posted August 14 thanks for sharing, pinned. I still have my reverb G2, which I did love, but its in a box in the loft 3 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? I'd appreciate any report of your experience with Oasis over the days comming. Guess some other people here also like to know if it's time to change to Win11 with the G2. freehand Posted August 29 Posted August 29 I will be waiting for performance results before I dig the G2 out.
Mamakin Posted August 29 Posted August 29 (edited) Well much much better than WMR. I use to run the headset at 60Hz, so the FPS lock, but low flying over buildings I got GPU on green and over 90 theoretically. Great job @Mbucchia! You did it again ! Edited August 29 by Mamakin 1

aceviper Posted August 30 Posted August 30 (edited) Performance is no better than before...I did not expect any improvement. Microstutter is back.Textures are shimmering a bit.... seems less clear than before. Will need to try make that better with cross eye tool. A few more hoops to go through and more tweaking needed. Now to try update win11 to latest version and see how that goes. But a very BIG thank you to @mbucchia for fixing a microsoft problem. Edit...today updated to win11 24h2.Mixed reality gone and Reverb G2 working on new oasis driver. Microstutter solved by frame rate throttle to 60 fps in openxr toolkit. The small constant peaks in graph flattened out straight away. Much smoother experience instantly with gpu headroom most of the time. This is way better than setting your headset to 60hz which is a blinkfest and very noticeable. Still need to tweak some more for clarity and sharpness...still some smearing. Cab Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Frankly, I’m shocked that there isn’t more chatter in the forum about this. Maybe most people aren’t aware yet, or maybe I’m overlooking it. Either way, I’m away from home until tomorrow but I’ll be installing it first thing. Thank you so much @mbucchia 1
Joch1955 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) I am guessing players are still on the fence and waiting to see what the performance with the Oasis driver is before switching. I am still using my G2 with Win 11 23h2. much thanks to M.Bucchia though, nice to see I can keep using my G2 for a few more years. Edited September 1 by Joch1955 2
