barkozz Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I can't play Blackshark for more than few minutes :( after that it crashes - I can hear sounds from game like it was still running but the screen freezes, once it came back to life but the textures were really weird and eventually it crashed for good. My DCS is a fresh install ( bought just few days ago ) with 1.0.1 patch. There are no newer drivers for my hardware. Please help :(DxDiag.txtDCS-20090815-171122.zipError.zip
GGTharos Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) Your system is certainly good enough to play Black Shark on ... Could you provide some additional details? Ie, are you overclocking or doing anything else that's interesting? Have you attempted rolling back your video card drivers? Also, try removing your SB LIVE! and see if the game runs without it. barkozz Posted August 15, 2009 Author Posted August 15, 2009 Rolled back nvidia drivers from 190.38 whql to 185.85 whql -> no luck Removed SB LIVE! ( and used onboard soundcard ) -> no luck I don't overclock and my system is pretty fresh install. Normally I would blame my graphics card but I can run few other games without any problems ( Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway, Battlestations Pacific ). Recently I left 3d mark 2006 running whole night in loop and in the evening it was still running... Attaching recent crash from running one of replays which came with the game.DCS-20090815-174438.crash.zip
Panzertard Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Hm, as for references to the crashes (.crash files) - doesn't seem to be controller or sound related, but rather graphics related. DXRenderer.dll \ZweiBlau.dll ?UpdateCloud@gCloudGen How about trying to reinstall DirectX 9.0c? The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
barkozz Posted August 15, 2009 Author Posted August 15, 2009 (edited) Already tried reinstalling DX and again - no luck. I think I'll try to reinstall Windows. Edited August 16, 2009 by barkozz
barkozz Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 I know what's causing that mess - GIGABYTE's Gamer HUD ( which came with my graphics card ). Got rid of that piece of !#@$ and finally I can enjoy this awesome game :pilotfly: Thanks to everybody for their support
GGTharos Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Ahhh good deal on finding it out! :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
