Avio Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Just cannot quite get the lateral left / right trim right (like in the A10C and F5E) when carrying asymmetrical loadout, is it too sensitive? Also, the targeting pod seems to create a lot of drag to the right during takeoff and landing. Is that correct?

If you have an axis to use for the roll trim I suggest using that as the trim hat on the stick is sensitive and you have to flick it to make smaller adjustments. I use the TMS switch in all trimmings, as it is more reachable, while the conventional trim hat I use it for POV look-around. Wish it has the sensitivity setting like that in the MSFS. Or perhaps DCS could have made it in finer step for each push.
RyanR Posted August 27 Posted August 27 You may need to adjust your stick itself (if you can). The "pulse" coming out of the hardware may be longer than you think. The F-16 trim works really well for me with a VKB Gladiator. -Ryan
BluesRocket Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago When I switched from a VKB Gladiator to a WinWing ViperAceEX (first with standard Orion II base, then with the MFSSB base), I've lost the ability to perfectly trim the roll axis. Nothing I have done in SimAppPro or adding the roll trim control on the left hip panel to another axis can get a perfect trim. I don't know if this is accurate and you need constant stick input. Drives me nuts. I wish the roll trim axis could be tuned like the stick pitch and roll, I need really minute control, I think, to get an asym load trimmed enough to give me heads down time working a mission activity.
