bak3dp0t4to Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Hello- I just purchased the Germany map, and when I loaded in, I found strange artifacts in my VR headset, mainly a dark line that goes across my line-of-sight and things get smeary below it. On my monitor, you can see the dot pattern thats everywhere. This only seems to happen on this map, though I've only also tested the Caucuses map, but in there everything looks and works fine. After extensive testing of different settings, it seems to be tied to pixel density. Anything above 1.0 causes this (I typically run at 1.3 as the cockpit is too blurry to see everything in my Q3). It happens regardless of whether this is set in game settings or oculus link. The only semi-workaround I've found is to set PD to 1.0 in game and the link app, and use the debug tool to increase PPD, however this results in jagged edges, shimmering everywhere, and basically like an old TV with the sharpening knob turned as high as it will go; blurry, but with definition. Any tips, advice? Is this a bug? If so, is this known about so it can be fixed? I haven't been able to find any discussions about it and at this point I either have to deal with the artifacts and smearing or everything being slightly blurry, and neither one is really a good solution. Cheers
