Freeze on click mission

It's been a while (some months) since I started DCS. My PC has no issues playing other sims (iracing, msfs, xplane) in VR (Quest 3, virtual desktop).

I have updated DCS. Clean up, and repair both quick and slow variant. When I start DCS in VR, the menu works normal, I choose a mission (instant, caucasus or syria, cold and dark). The moment I click on the mission (cold and dark for example) I get the loading screen but that freezes. No progress increase no matter how long I wait. 

In desktop mode the loading screen progresses immediately, I'm in the plane within 30 seconds.

Is there a new issue I am not aware of, or a something I should do different ?

Can you please attach your DCS log file.

A night rest must have been good for the VR gods. I just tried to start again to have a fresh log file, and after 2minutes of seemingly freeze screen, the cockpit was loading… i punched through the clouds in my rocketship again!
