cannot produce and mssing track file When switch to RDR ALT for AGL altitude not working properly

When I prepare my F18C from cold to hot, RDR alt does not work properly at all. I have tried several ways to start-up the F18 properly but it is always the same, RDR ALT does not work. When I flip the switch from BARO to RDR the "B" above flashes. When then switch back to BARO "B" disappears. But when I start the flight with the hot plane on the apron (without manual starting-up), everything works fine.

What did I do wrong?

It has to be turned on, it's off by default. Right console below the tailhook lever, rotate the kob clockwise.
