zero2005 Posted Sunday at 06:18 PM Posted Sunday at 06:18 PM (edited) as title says, there seems to be a massive frame load whenever the rotor is in view. IIRC this was a "bug" awhile back, I think on the KA-50? -- at the very least, if this isn't a "bug" and is a "feature", could we make stupid graphics options like this able to be toggled in the specials menu? or have some other way to disable the nonsense? I use the hind caucus free-flight instant action as my "benchmark" -- I just recently reinstalled DCS. with my current settings, 72hz, quest 3 using virtualdesktop @ godlike, my total GPU load will be 80-85% when rotor is out of view, then it skyrockets to 93-95% whenever the rotor is in view, then and starts dropping frames. Turning off the nav lights/formation lights/blade tip lights helps a slight bit (1-2% GPU load combined), but there's still clearly something going on that's causing the rotor to drain unnecessary resources... Seems like every time I try to return to this sim, I'm greeted by more and more bugs or "feature" updates that make me want to re-uninstall... for reference, specs: 4090, 14700k, win11, 64gb ddr5 @ 6800mhz, DCS on 4tb NVMe... The frame load is roughly the same change when using my Reverb G1 and the Oasis driver. Please sir, may we have some optimizations? 612 × 477 Edited Sunday at 06:19 PM by zero2005 2 System: Intel 14700k on ASUS Tuf Gaming z790 PLUS, Arctic Liquid Frozer II 360mm AIO, 64gb ddr5 @ 6800mhz//28-39-16-38-70, Gigabyte 4090 Winwing Orion2 F-15EX/F-16EX combo, VKB T-Rudder Mk.IV, TM Warthog (Shelved) 2x 256gb Vertex 4 SSD's, 2x 1tb Sabrent NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD's, 1x 4.0tb Silicon Power NVMe, 1x 4tb Seagate HDD VR: Quest 3 (Current), HP Reverb G1 (Shelved)
