Poser Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Anyone notice the radar altimeter go INOP after the last patch?? I took off and was flying low level. I went to adjust the alert height setting and the current level indicator was missing with the entire gauge reading zero. So basically INOP. It was working before the last patch (2.9.21.16362).
Irontom1010 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Same here - doing my demonstration practice, and i got no VSI reading.
NickCL Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Same thing here... I've: 1-Lost the radio altimeter (The test function doesn't "pass"? either) 2-Lost the VSI (Stuck at 0) 3-The warning/caution/lamps indications are in Russian, with the English cockpit. All this after the last update. So, considering the importance (one being a primary flight instrument) they: Either added a feature that forgot to tell us how it works, or ED's Quality Control has made a... Big, little upsi xD. Haha nah, just joking, I work IT too these things happen. But in all honesty, I Up this post too, I report the same. Thank you.
twicesss Posted yesterday at 07:08 PM Posted yesterday at 07:08 PM I’m seeing the same issue in the MiG-29A after the patch (2.9.21.16362). The radar altimeter + VSI just went silent — gauge shows zero, test function fails. From what you’ve described, here’s what I suggest: Verify in the Mission Editor if the “ICAO weather settings” or “Instrument failures” options are enabled — sometimes the altimeter is disabled via mission triggers. Check in Cockpit Settings → Sensors / Data Link if the RAD ALT is turned ON. If both above are correct and the problem still persists, it’s likely a bug from the latest patch — you should submit a report with your .miz file, DCS version, and screenshots.
