Is there anyway to uncouple the cursor from the HMD, so it is only mouse controlled? Or joystick thumbstick controlled?

At the moment my head controls the cursor as well as the mouse.  Is there a way to stop my HMD from moving the cursor?  It is really frustrating having to keep my head still in order to press the fiddly buttons

I can't seem to find a control that prevents my head from controlling the cursor, any idea what I am doing wrong?

Alternatively, is there a way to control the cursor using an analogue thumb stick on the stick?  Again without my head moving the mouse.

Nope. Known problem with a few requests to change this behaviour, or have another option. You get used to it after a while. One technique is mouse to the area, and then you can use fine head movements for clicking around buttons, e.g. KDU on the Apache etc.
