Saitek x-56 throttle setup issues

When I try to set up my throttle in the axis and I highlight 'thrust' block and then move my throttle it comes up as Joy_X and if i try to fly it like that the throttle affects the roll input.

I have gone through all the updating drivers/checked the properties in windows etc. 

Just cannot get this to work.

You likely have double bindings.  DCS automatically assigns a bunch of axis to different things.  Check the roll axis binding and you'll probably find that your thrust is also bound to it.  Clear that (and any other double bindings) and you should be good.
