E-TF[101] Breeze Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) Hi, I recently found pictures of IRL JF-17's with less draggy SD10 pylons. These changes have also been spotted on Block 2's and i've attached the pictures. I was wondering if there is any chance we could have this change in the DCS JF-17. Best regards, Edited November 16 by E-TF[101] Breeze 2
DSplayer Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Sorry but I don't see any difference between the pylons we have and the images you have provided. 1 1 Discord: @dsplayer Setup: R7 7800X3D, 64GB 6000Mhz, Saitek/Logitech X56 HOTAS, TrackIR + TrackClipPro Resources I've Made: F-4E RWR PRF Sound Player | DCS DTC Web Editor Mods I've Made: F-14 Factory Clean Cockpit Mod | Modern F-14 Weapons Mod | Iranian F-14 Weapons Pack | F-14B Nozzle Percentage Mod + Label Fix | AIM-23 Hawk Mod for F-14
E-TF[101] Breeze Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 What I'm referring to isn't the main pylon attached to the wing, rather the launcher rail. I phrased it incorrectly. As you can see in the pictures below, the launcher rails size is reduced a lot, probably to help reduce overall drag. 1
Creampie Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Seems like the OAL of the pylon has a difference of maybe 6" in the front & 6" in the back? Seems to have a significant difference in height as well, The arms that hold the 2 individual pylons have a lot less pitch in them null 1

Best regards, Appears to be from J-10C but compatible with adapter so I don't think we will get.

By the way if you want to look for more info the pylon is called SDF 10C while current is SDF 10A. Edited Wednesday at 06:50 PM by FlankerFan35

Probably less draggy then what we have. Lets hope the Devs take notice and can maybe find some data. Or can do it. 3
