Control bindings change on startup

This is not a game bug. What's happening is every time I start DCS my computer reassigns my usb ports so that  a key binding that was say JOY BUTTON_86  becomes JOY BUTTON_52 

Any ideas on how to fix it. I am using Window 11

That's a tough one.  I know there are some 3rd party softwares around (sorry can't remember which ones) that will keep things straight even when the button numbers change due to Windows.

The device UUID can change, but the button number assigned to a physical button should never change. Perhaps your OS drive is getting corrupted and about to die
