scommander2 Posted Tuesday at 04:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:43 PM Hi, I create this thread so that I can project my new hardware for the next year. Based on the following capture, there are 78 threads running from where DCS lands on the main dashboard after logging in: The number of threads depends on the active objects (I think). For example: Instance Action: F-4E - Takeoff with the Afgh map, there are two active A-10s and two B-1B (maybe others): The thread count is increased from 78 from 97. Based on the above observation, more active objects (included trees, ground moving vehicles) are required more CPU resource to handle for the reasonable performance and FPS (assuming GPU is not the bottleneck). What is the exact minimum CPU cores required for DCS today and the next year to achieve the CPU bound in the most time? Thanks.
