man,i wish i knew what to do about not being able to start singleplayer.i can fly fine on MP.

 

error file always states:autoexec.cfg doesn't exist in config folder.i'm looking right at it!

 

i updated to 2.05gb of ram,then uninstalled previous BS,re-installed BS,restarted,updated to 1.0.1a,restarted,still nothing on single player.

 

i looked in stable and dbl clicked launcher.exe,same for DCS.exe,nothing.doesn't even show up in task manager.

 

i'm lost,frustrated,tired,and out of patience.kinda thinking i wasted money.

 

all files in stable shortcut icon properties/target are .dll files(with the exception of the .exe files)

 

all major folders and files are in MP properties/target

 

if it runs smooth as silk in MP,then it should't have a problem in SP!:cry:

Your problem looks like file access rights problem. Log on as admin, perform clean reinstall of BS and patch and try running it.

i am logged on as admin.i've re-installed several times.i need to concentrate why the autoexec.config file is not being recognized.thats where the problem lies.maybe someone could show me what the contents of their autoexec.config file says(reads)

It look like it's default content of autoexec. What language of systems you have? Did you installed patch 1.0.1a? Please note "a" after number.

Please note that you can't just simply run launcher from that directory. Your SP link should point at %BS_Path%/bin/stable/launcher.exe with working directory set to main game directory (%BS_Path%)

hey,thanks for all your help,i really appreciate it.i got it figured out!YEAH!i sent my error log(s) to tech support at Eagle Dynamics and was sent a singleplayer.bat file that was missing(albiet vague as to where i was supposed to put it!)so i experimented.dbl clicked icon a few times while placing the file in diff. locations and finally recieved an error about missing blackshark.lua file,so i copied from MP directory and placed in SP properties and BLAMMO...i hear music,sim runs up and i'm off and runnin' smooth!Thanks Again....btw this is a very informative forum and i think i will be here for a long time!

 

P.S. i had to rename launcher.exe to launcher--console.exe
