Problems with DCS: Black Shark 1.0.1b patch (English)

Grettings my friends,

 

I did the installation of original DCS Black Shark in english, after that don't have problems but when I install the DCS: Black Shark 1.0.1b patch (English), after the first image, I use option and show me that:

 

 

how can I do to resolve this problem?

Do you have any crash log or such in the BlackShark temp folder?

Also, which directory did you install the simulator to?

I put my sim in the correct directory in C:\Program files\......

I have a error TXT in a temp folder

 

Where do I edit your text?......(EDT: Dragony was both quicker and better.)

 

Only apears the first time that I select "Options", after that doesn't happen anymore.

 

I did the re-install operation becouse my PC was broken, this is my second time that I reinstall BS......the first time no problems.

 

Without the patche run correctly.

I can't see all information of profile in the Ka-50.....Don't have profiles and when I try tu see the infoemation show me the error, the same that the picture...........During the instalation doesn't put the information about all the profile......I don't have information about....Thanks

Did you attempt the operation suggested by Dragony? From what I have understood, if you are using a specific language version of DCS, you can sometimes need to have your computer location (for how it handles numbers, time and so on) set to the same as the game version. So if you are using an english version but have spanish or latin american locale settings there might be issues.

 

Also, are you using Windows Vista? There is nothing specifically "correct" about C:\Program Files - indeed I tend to avoid installing computer games there because some of Vista's security features can cause issues with the game needing to access and edit configuration files, which the operating system might not allow. However, I'm not sure that that is your problem, but you could try seeing if there is any difference when you start the simulator as administrator (right-click, run as admin). That should ensure that the application gets the correct access rights to the Program Files directory and would at least serve to eliminate that as a cause for your issue.

 

One edits posts through the edit button in the lower left of your posts. You can only edit your own posts. If someone has already read the post, a small text bit saying "edited" will appear in the bottom of the screen, if no-one had read it no such notice will appear. It's a good method to ensure one doesn't have to add a second post in a row if one comes up with some new information one forgot to add to one's previous post.

Unfortunately 1.01a is not available for download any longer. Where did you get it from? You got it still stored?

I had the same problem and I'm trying this way right now. Hope it will fix it.

I just finished installing it with 1.0.1a and then putting the fix 1.0.1a to 1.0.1b. It worked out also for me. Thanks for all guys!

 

Note : I have vista 32 bits and didn't installed it on the Local Disk C, but instead directly on the desktop using run as administrator for installing it. Didn't need to use run as admin. it to play it on my side.

This patch sequece now seems to have worked for me as well !
