fritzgryphon Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) I load the editor, make a single helicopter with me as pilot, and go to save the mission, enter a name, hit Ok. The editor locks up, and when I tab to the desktop, I see this: The bizarre thing is that I've installed BS on two separate computers, one with Win7 and the other with XP, and in both cases it does exactly this. In both cases the game is installed to C:\BS I looked up me_traceback.lua, and it is exactly where the path says it should be and it's read/writable, so I have no idea why it can't be loaded. Edit: latest patch version. I didn't try unpatched. Any ideas? Edited November 29, 2009 by fritzgryphon
EtherealN Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 Which exact version of DCS:BS do you have? If it is patched, did you patch a clean installation of it? Panzertard Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 The Zip file is "occupied" or locked by some other program on your computer. Could be the antivirus - or some other smart piece of software you are using. It could also be that you have clicked on it in Windows Explorer - Windows explorer then locked the file to display info about it ... Try finding the piece of software that intercepts your save. fritzgryphon Posted November 29, 2009 Author Posted November 29, 2009 Thanks for the suggestion. I wish it were something so simple, but these are both basically clean installs of windows, with nothing but AVG . Disabling it doesn't help. I've got the patch from different mirrors in both occaisions, so I don't imagine it'd be a bad patch.
EtherealN Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 It would be interesting to know if the problem manifests on a vanilla install. Might help rule out patch issues.
