I heard about this a week or so ago. Funny how for that price you can watch the feed. While in theory this is a huge breach you can go on Youtube and watch the same thing. The problem is that there have been some problems with the UAV's in Afghanistan during the last few months. This just adds to the list.

The thing is, plane spotters were talking about how easy this is to do about 4 years ago and posting about it on the net, and here in late 09 and the system is still clear air, no encryption ?

This is very old news. This problem has been known for more then a decade. Nevertheless, these drones work well against opponent with AK-47. So why bother spending money on encrypting video feed ...
