Problem with new monitor

Just upgraded from a 4:3 to a 16:10 monitor. Cannot start FC. Get this error message:

Short of reinstalling, what can I do to fix this ? Yes, I went to a higher resolution 1400x1050 to 1920x1200.

This isnt much help, but i did exactly the same recently and had nil issues

I must say- I don't often hear of this being the solution to crashes- just a solution from looking goofy and out of sorts. But I can remember at least one other guy that was crashing left & right and he said this fixed it... whatever.
