Data loss due to host overload ?

Does this sound familiar:

You are in the middle of an online fight, you locked your target, fired ARH and keep the target locked iot support your missile. Then - your lock is broken, nothing on your radar anymore... you keep searching,

but - nada. Cold - out ! There were several radar echoes before, now there is nothing.

 

Could it be that this sort of 'outage' occurs more often if more player /clients have joint the mission ? Could it be a 'data loss' or a 'host overload' condition ?
