blaster454 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I currently have the Lomac disk and FC1 English download on DVD. I have an install on my system now that has FC1 patched to 1.12 and with some mods installed under Modman. I understand that I can install FC2 two ways: Over my existing Lomac/FC1.12 install -- and that it will install FC2 in a separate folder allowing me to play either 1.12 or 2.0 as I wish. I assume the mods in FC1.12 will be untouched. Over a fresh install of Lomac 1.0 ... I assume it does not have to be upgraded to 1.02. Is there any advantage to either of these installs? I would prefer to be able to play FC1.12 in addition to 2.0 so I assume method 1 might be better? Anything else I may be missing? Panzertard Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 No, you're not meant to install over neither Lockon nor FC1 - they are just a prerequisite for allowing the FC2 install. FC2 is a standalone installation. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
golfsierra2 Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 FC2 is a standalone installation. Means it will not touch / alter / modify any other Lock-On or FC 1.1 - 1.12b installation. The basic requirement still is Lock-On 1.0 - 1.02 or Flaming Cliffs 1.1 - 1.12b (also requiring Lock-On) kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
