Grimes Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 In Black Shark I was building a mission that was to be adapted to FC2. In it I had a respawn system of sorts where it basically had several groups of units inside a trigger zone. Each had a 10 day delay (I like using days to delay rather than the 23 hours thing). The logic was something like this... Once Unit Inside Zone (Any GP1 Unit) and Flag 21 Activate Group 1 Once Unit Inside Zone (Any GP2 Unit) and Flag 21 and GP1 Is Dead Activate Group 2 and so on. From what I can tell "unit inside zone" no longer accounts for units that havn't activated yet. Minor annoyance that requires some reworking of the triggers, but its something that I noticed was different. Are there any other changes to the trigger system between these two games? Panzertard Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Only the compatability path will tell. I hope all the minute changes from the FC2 will be applied in the same manner for DCS as well. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Grimes Posted March 30, 2010 Author Posted March 30, 2010 Only the compatability path will tell. I hope all the minute changes from the FC2 will be applied in the same manner for DCS as well. Or they could just tell us what actually is different... Noticed another difference. AI starting from Ramp at any time after mission start (Delay or Activated) begin to taxi differently than AI who spawn at mission start. Most notably the 2nd guy begins to roll much much sooner than normally. Whats the problem? They get stuck as their AI paths conflict on when to yield to another aircraft. At most airbases its not a problem. At a few it is prone to happen. Notably Anapa and Maykop. I only bring it up because in the many many hours I've spent making that mission in Black Shark not once did the AI get stuck at an airbase.
