Sure, what what are the birth defects caused by, and how many were reported before?

That's just it ... you suddenly get villagers saying 'birth defects' ... did anyone care to ask them before? Did they care to report it? Did anyone care to record it?

 

I think it was 60minutes or something they mentioned it was daily where people were reporting cases of birth defects in Iraq. Which is why I mentioned it quite nasty stuff.

Let's take the example of Chernobyl. There was a huge increase in "reported cancers" (unfortunately I don't recall the specific type) after the accident - this got huge press.

 

But the thing is, the statistics of "before Chernobyl" were a few doctors doing a few checkups here and there. The statistics of afterwards was a whole nation plus the international community digging for it. This leads to a statistical artefact that's almost impossible to control for.
