I am testing some of the trigger logic in a mission of mine. I'm using AI that are acting as a stand in for client aircraft, so they don't have targeting assignments. Each aircraft is also its own "group". There is a single bandit that they all choose to engage. I realize there are certain behaviors the AI tend to do when they are in a flight with several wingman and when they are in their own individual flight. However, everyone of them firing a missile at the exact same time just dumbfounds me. One would think that various ranges would be accounted for as they choose to engage. Between the lead AI and the trailing AI is 6.3 nm... and they all fire at the exact same time. It even continues, although its not as spectacularly accurate, with the 2nd and 3rd shots they fire on the bandit with.

This is independent of unit skill?

There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I hear missile prices are at an all time low in Dodge City.

I think they are doing this to influence the market.

On a more serious note - is this the "rule" rather than the exception?

If so, I'd call it a serious bug - I doubt it can be a feature.

Not sure. I'll do a few separate tests at various skill settings, payloads, and target settings. I just posted this cause its kind of a "WTF moment"

Any of the following probably effected it somehow

Target jamming or not.

number of enemy threats

Given target area or not

In its own group or with wingmen

skill settings
