marcus2us Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I have tried several times to get the B52 or B1 bombers to drop their bombs on their assigned target such as run ways and buildings, but no joy. I assign the bombers to fly over the way point prior to the target(IP), but after flying over the IP they continue to the next way point with out droping there bombs. I tried adjusting air speed and altitude along with moving the IP closer to the target. I double check the weapons screen to make sure I have selected weapons as well. Any sugestions would be appreciated. coolts Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) daft question, but have you set their tasking to "ground attack" in the dropdown? Edited May 13, 2010 by coolts [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 9700k | 32gb DDR4 | Geforce 2080ti | TrackIR 5 | Rift S | HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO Pedals

Grimes Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 To target buildings Create a target area box on the waypoint closest to the target. Select "Buildings" as the target. They will drop a pair of bombs one building at a time on each building within the area. To Target Runways Set "Runway Attack" as the task Create target area that includes an Airbase. Be sure to select airbase as the target AI will line up with the runway and drop all available bombs on the target To Carpet Bomb an area Select Ground Attack Task Create two target areas on the same waypoint, both set to "point" AI should drop all their bombs in a line between the first and second point. Let it be known that if they will drop ALL of their bombs. So if you set the two points close enough they will drop an excessive amount of bombs. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. deadsmell Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 It would be great if we could get some sort of script pack. SBSmac created and maintains a fantastic script pack for Arma2. It would be really cool if we had something similar to use in the Lockon/DCS editor. Dont let the smell get to ya...............
