MatyDry Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 How I have to set G940 for correct function trim in BS? I think FF, Centering Spring etc in setting game controllers?
ddahlstrom Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 How I have to set G940 for correct function trim in BS? I think FF, Centering Spring etc in setting game controllers? You'll probably get a variety of responses here, but I could never get FFB trim to work satisfactory on the G940. FFB trim does lock the stick in place, but at the cost of jerking the aircraft around. You can mitigate this somewhat by reducing the forces, but I found that I had to almost eliminate them in order to fly smooth, so I couldn't see the point. There is also an "issue" with rudder pedals in FFB mode where they are virtually re-centered immediately upon trim, causing yaw to hiccup too if you're feet aren't fast enough to keep up. Because this was all such a pain, and because I never had such issues with my old Saitek, I ended up going back to the tried-and-true central position trimmer mode, which works pretty well; however, due to the horrendous slop on the G940 I had to introduce a fairly large deadzone to compensate for "center" being a rather large sloshy area. Logitech has had a patch to fix the slop just around the corner for the last couple months which should be out any day now. Hopefully, things will be all better after that. My guess is that it probably won't fix the FFB issues, however, since I suspect that is more of a game-specific issue that would likely require ED to do some G940 specific coding.
