I`ve seen some discussions about how different weapons are modeled in FC2 in other threads, but can anyone explain more precisely how exactly is range and damage modeled in the game? I`m asking about that, because I`ve tested several AG weapons and don`t seem to find much difference between the power for let`s say FAB-500 and X-65... I mean X-65 with its 600 kg warhead should obliterate much bigger area (probably not in a direct ratio to the warhead size) than FAB-500 with its 240 kg warhead. Therefore the following questions:

1. The different bombs/missiles seem to have different radius of effect, but how is it calculated and can someone provide a list for AG missiles, bombs and rockets area of effect?

2. Does the damage scale down from the epicenter to the edge of the area of effect or the damage inflicted to the targets is the same number throughout the whole area of effect?

3. Isn`t the damage that some of the weapons inflict a little bit reduced compared to their real life counterparts? I think you don`t need a direct hit on a tank with X-65 to destroy it but in the game it fell several meters away from the target and couldn`t even scratch it... Second example: I needed 2 vikhrs hitting the upper part of an abrams` turret to destroy it. Note - upper turret part not the tank`s frontal armor, wth?!!

The 500 in the Russian bombs refers to the unit of mass in kg, not pounds. So FAB-500 is 500 kg.

There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

No it is not. :) 500 kg is the weight of the bomb not of the warhead. It is 240 kg.

Oops... that might be a slight oversight on my part.
