Help !! Couple of Problems! LOFC 2

I have recently installed LO FC2 and Patched it (LockOn_FC2_Patch_1.2.1_EN). I am encountering few problems :helpsmilie:

 

1. After editing/assigning the Contols to Joystick/Keyboard , i get a error message while saving . (screen shot enclosed bugLOFC.jpg)

2.The Game does not go beyond " Press Pause / break to start" , even though i tried pressing all the buttons on by Keyboard (Logitech G-15) :(. So I am unable to Play LOFC2 :cry:

(Note :1. Pause/Break is key is working with Other Games

2. Pause Break Key Control is correctly assigned (ref: image LOFC2-Control.jpg )

 

Any Help to sort out these issues is highy appriciated

You got an error while saving? Saving to which file?

Normally you dont save - you just press "OK" to accept the changes.

Did you overwrite any existing files in FC2 - like "blackshark.lua"?

 

2. this cannot be resolved until we have fixed #1, they are connected.

Hi , let me just clarify what i meant by "saving" .. i just pressed "OK" to accept Changes ,I did not tweak or overwrite any files from backend.

As you can see from the screen shot ..the error generated while i clicked "OK" .

Okai, it seems there are some keys (possible one of the modifiers) that may be incorrect according to the error.

Which Windows language + Regions are you using, and which FC2 edition do you have?

 

You could try a reinstall (just rename the current FC2 folder to something else) - and install 1.0 and see if it works with no more changes.

- Make a backup of .\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Input\Aircrafts

- Start FC2, go to options, look at a few aircrafts and then press OK to leave.

Then add the patch, 1.2.1 and recheck if it works.

- Make another backup of .\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Config\Input\Aircrafts

- Start tweaking the config / joystick

If everything fails, restore backups.

 

Note, if you have installed in the C:\Program Files and is using Vista/WIn 7 - then all your modifications in the input may be stored in the VirtualStore:

C:\Users\<users>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2
