ZoomBoy27 Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I put a notice here as the main forum moves too fast. And am the 1st to post. Woohoo :icon_jook Su-25T Campaign - Hold Back the AEF For the Su-25T - an Allied Expeditionary Force, as part of operations in the Central Asia, is trying to gain control of the area west of Georgia. You are flying as the defenders(Russia + Ukraine) versus the Allies(USA, Turkey, Georgia). It's a smaller campaign but it has its difficulties. The hot fighter aces of Ukraine, the Buba Boys, will make their re-appearance but on your side. So you should have friendly skies. It currently is at version 1.01. I had to fix an error in Mission 7. Currently 90+ downloads. ZoomBoy27 Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 ... Have postponed my MiG29 campaign for 1.1; didnt see the point in case there are compatibility issues :( When loading my 1.02 in 1.1, there weren't any loading errors. Is that what you're talking about? The missionpack had about 30 missions and no loading problems. Time, however, needs to be taken to watch the AI response. I was mainly ground-pounding so I didn't have to watch too many AI fighter flights and fights. I did spend a lot of time in the F10 Map view watch with a sped up(CTRL-A) missions replaying them. In one case I found that If I sent 2 Su-27 fighters on a generic Fighter-Sweep path vs 2 Helos and 2 F-15s, the Su-27s would be distracted by the much closer Helos and not be in good shape for the meeting the F-15s. But if I made a Attack Waypoint that targeted the F-15s, I got the optimal result. So watch the behaviour - I think it's more on-target than it used to be in 1.02, but the mission builder needs to test for Results. SAM-Smasher Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Yes I was very concerned that the work I was undertaking on my MiG29 campaign would not work properly with the new 1.1 when I finally get hold of it. So I stopped work after the first mission, and considering there is a mix of AA and AG engagements planned for the campaign I didnt want to risk coming across an irreversable error of bug. Since is the first campaign I intend to release to anyone, or file for that matter EVER! I wanted it to be right and bug free :) Since I have stopped working I may as well wait for the 1.1 addon to drop through my letterbox. Thanks for your advice here Zoomboy, if I encounter any problems when creating my campaign, may I ask for some answers or suggestions if I need it? :) "I love smashing the crap out of those buggers on the ground who keep making a beeping sound on my RWR..... the bells the bells!!!!!!.... erm yeah....
