If you look at the menu screen some of the lettering has merged together

If you look at the work Mission, Training, Encyclopedia and Replay. The same thing happens with the lettering in the option screen. I have tried reinstalling the sim with no effect. Can someone please help solve this problem.

Could you supply a DxDiag, please? See the thread named "Troubleshooting - help us help you". (Once you have it, press "Go Advanced" below the reply box and use the paperclip icon to attach it to your post.)

I suspect that either some font setting in your OS or a graphics driver is doing something funky. The DxDiag would help getting an overview on this.

DxDiag As requested

DxDiag.txt

Look forward to your thoughts on this one. I have updated all graphics drivers. I bet it is something really simple that I have missed. Hope you or someone else can spot it.

DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.
Display Tab 1: The file ati2dvag.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

I cannot be positive on whether this is related, since this is technically not really an error message, though it may be indicative of a problem with your driver situation.

Note that updating drivers to a newer version is not always recommended - especially with ATi a newer driver may sometimes just break stuff if you have older hardware. (We've had a lot of issues with older ATi cards and their OpenGL support with newer driver versions, which is an issue in the GUI. Though the result is usually "whitescreens" and not what you are experiencing.)

After your comment about the driver I tried reinstalling the ATI driver from the CD. then updating it from ati.com. I am pleased to say that the menu screen is working correctly. Thank you for your help. I hope the solution will be of use to others who encounter the same problem.
