sopela123 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Well, the subject says it all, I map the range axis (cant remember which one it is i believe slider 0) of the cougar to MFD Range but no luck. I have checked my cougar and the axis is working perfectly. It doesn't matter if i load a profile or not. I have also tried to map a different axis to MFD Range (Antenna, even the Axis 0, 1 and 2), no luck. I have a temporary solution by editing my lo-mac cougar profile and enter the mfd zoom in an out keys for the range axis of the cougar but i will prefer to have it mapped in the game. is it just me or i does not work ? any ideas ? excuse my english.... GregP Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 That's strange, I've got my RNG axis controlling MFD Range, mapped through the in-game axes menu. A few things to try/check: 1) Make sure you don't have a RNG axis assignment in your Cougar profile, then set the axis in-game. 2) Try assigning your RNG axis in one of the specific modes, like 'Nav' or 'BVR' instead of 'All'. 3) In-game, can you assign the RNG axis to control something else? And/or can you assign the ANT axis to some other axis (just to check if these axes can be assigned to anything at all?)
sopela123 Posted May 13, 2005 Author Posted May 13, 2005 Thanks for our reply. I have done some additional testing and funny thing is that it works perfectly for the f-15, but it does not work at all for the a-10. I have tried as per your indication mapping only for some modes, no luck. I can map the RNG axis to other functions (tried with the throttle), same thing with the ANT axis, no problems either. It is not a really big issue since i can edit my joy profile and make it work but still a bit annoying. GregP Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 Hmmm ... can't think of anything else to try. Sorry. But you're right, you should at least be able to map most of these things to key presses, that's what I was doing for a long time before I finally mapped them in-game.
hassata Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I think you can only zoom the mfd if you have ir mavs loaded. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
59th_Bird Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 I use Olivier "Red Dog" Beumont's macro and joystick file (I modded it.) He configured the mfd zoom to the RNG pot. He also configured the ANT knob to trim. It is much precise than the lomac - configured one. http://cougar.frugalsworld.com/files.php Sorry about my English :icon_redf Bird TM Warthog no.00128
