mooky Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 It's been a week and I can't shake it. I get a "Ati2dvag.dll has stopped working...." message while flying the 'Stronghold' mission in the campaign. Quick Start works fine. Assorted single missions work fine. The first 2 missions in camp work perfectly. Start up the 'Stronghold' mission and somewhere along the line, I'll get the error. I've tried a fresh install of BS (with the update to 1.0.2). No mods. Swept and backdated video drivers, assorted BIOS settings, a couple different AV programs, no AV at all. ALL the basic stuff. The card's brand new: ATI Radeon HD 4670 AGP, Windows XP Pro, TrackIR 3. No issues with COD:WAW, rFactor, Anno 1404, FalconAF, FreeFalcon5, never an issue anywhere except here with this one mission. Never seen anything like it. Crash file attached. Thoughts? -mookyDCS-20101013-180955.crash.txt
mooky Posted October 15, 2010 Author Posted October 15, 2010 Just did a complete, from scratch OS install with nothing but anti virus, CH Products stuff, and DCS-BS 1.0.2. Same problem, same spot. -mooky
mooky Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 I made it through the mission without the error! I ran it in window mode (vs. full screen) and, using ATT, I backed off the openGL settings. Now I don't know if the sim is sensitive to the OpenGL settings or if running the mission in window mode did the trick. I noticed horrible frame rates on the opposite side of the ridge from the FARP. Can anyone clear that up? -mooky
Mirgo Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Same problem here. Tomorrow I will try to run it in windowed mode also to see if that'll do the trick. -Mirgo
Schenker Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) I had the exact same problem but running in a window fixed it for me. However after I quit the mission the launcher just locked up instead ... :/ Update: After trying once again it worked out fine and the launcher didn't lock up. Edited January 24, 2011 by Schenker
