Hi there. Just downloaded the beta. I have a Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X, which is recognized by the game when I'm on the axis assignments page. All the basic functions are recognized and pre-assigned, except for the throttle. The default axis for this function is listed as joystick slider 1, which I would assume refers to the only slider on my Hotas; that is, the throttle. However, when I try to tune the throttle, I get no response in the feedback window. I also get no response when I try to manually assign the axis.

Took a short hop in an in-flight mission, and sure enough, no throttle control was available. I know from other use that the throttle itself works fine, so I'm wondering if anyone has an idea what the problems might be. I know I shouldn't even be flying yet, but I would like to believe I'll be able to when I'm ready. Thanks in advance.

Stick Assignments

Hi,

First off I had to go through all the default button and axis assignments in A10 game and in A10 sim and clear all the assignments one at a time in both profiles.

Then I went to axis and under the column for my throttle I set it up in both A10 game and A10sim profiles.

I had to do this for all button assignments and all axis assignments.

The reason it is not working is it is conflicting with a setting in the other profile.

You shouldn't get conflicts from the other profile, as the game only uses one of them at a time. I haven't touched the 'game' profile at all since I don't use that mode.

I also get no response when I try to manually assign the axis.

Just to clarify, to assign it manually you're doing the following steps:

  1. select the grid cell in the configuration screen next to "Throttle common" in the column for your joystick
  2. click the "Clear" button to get rid of any existing config
  3. click the "Add" button to bring up the Add Assignment Panel
  4. moving the throttle slider on your stick

Add this point you're not getting any response from the game, i.e. it's not selecting an axis in the Key/Button dropdown?

If that's the case, I can only suggest checking your controller configuration. Is there any addon software or configuration for it in Windows that lets you assign special functions to the stick's controls? Seems like something is preventing the game from seeing the axis.

Throttle Assignment

Thanks a bunch; that did it. I didn't actually have to clear all of my assignments, just the ones related to the throttle. Much obliged.
