Macross Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I am running a DCS:BS dedicated server behind a PFSence firewall. I have firewall rules for TCP\UDP traffice for port 10308, and have forwarded the port to my internal machine. External players are able to connect and play fine. I have a small issue in that the game server dosnt appear in the in game server browser. I have looked extensively and i dont seem to be able to find any other info on what requirements there are other that port 10308 for BS and or FC2. Is there another port required for master browser communication so that the game server may be published in the ingame browser? Thanks =TOG= Macross [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Panzertard Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I had the same problem on my firewall. Had to upen 10307 UDP as well, I noticed traffic from it when packetsniffing. Try 10307 UDP as well - and give it a good 10 minutes before you conclude with it not appearing. The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning
Macross Posted October 31, 2010 Author Posted October 31, 2010 Thanks Panzertard. I didnt see any reference to port 10307 UDP being blocked. I opened it just in case. I think in the end it may have been a flakey firewall rull that was casuing the issue. I had a pretty granular exception to allow traffice to the DMZ that the server sits in. I have broadened it slightly (allow 10308 from *any) and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help. Cheers Macross [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
