The volume key has two different controls. You turn the knob and there is a ring around the knob that turns seperate.

I believe the mouse wheel rotates the volume know but you right and left click to rotate the ILS freq. knob. I've only done it once so I may be wrong on which key does what but there is two controls for each knob.

EDIT: From the Manual:

2. Volume Knob. Labeled VOL, the dial controls the volume of the localizer capture tone and the marker beacon tone. To adjust volume, the outside of the knob is rotated. If the base of the knob is rotated, the ILS frequency in tenths and hundredths will be cycled in .05 increments.

Rgr on the duality of each knob :)

I can only get one function out of the volume knob :)

haven't tried mouse-wheel on the volume knob.

right or left mouseclick on the volume knob only turns the outer ring clockwise or counterclockwise.
