Laptop specs check.

hey guys and girls,

 

Just thought id ask of your oppinions on what kinda specs i can run this game at on my laptop:

 

Alienware m15x

I7 840qm

Nvidia 460m

 

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi,

 

I've got an M15x with an i7 620M, 8Gb RAM and 1Gb Nvidia 260m card and I'm finding it pretty good with medium settings with a couple of things set to high (like civ traffic), HDR is on and full-screen. I'd have thought we'd see some frame-rate improvements in the GA version; mine suffers _a little_ with an external view on take-off.

... Seriously, there has to be others besides me who'd never play anything more demanding than Battle for Wesnoth on a laptop. Never mind if the hardware is actually up to the task or not, I just find the whole device too small for simulations. Well, maybe if you have an effin' huge screen/projection, but...
