If you don't like the standard keymap, you can change it. It takes about 30 seconds in the menu. (I've mapped it to my stick, obviously, like everything else.) I really don't understand how it could be made more simple and still retain some semblance of simulation - you select your avionics mode (navigation/a2a/a2g), then you select your weapon, designate a target, and then you launch.

 

Of course, you can always compare with the amount of steps necessary in shooting missiles in DCS:A-10C. ;)

 

The training videos cannot be "carried over" because they are incompatible. There are still training videos, though: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_pos=1852&scr=default
