power5 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Yeah, probably way OT, but thought the Helo guys would get a kick out of the blog for the RC heli today. Haven’t you ever wanted to fly somewhat high in the sky? All the cool kids like being susceptible to high winds! Ah, the much-maligned helicopter. It never lived up to the glamor of its sexier, fixed-wing cousins. You’ll never hear rappers jetting across the country in private whirlybirds. No, the helicopter’s a utilitarian device more than pleasure craft. It’s awkward. It’s ungainly. And as such, it gets pretty menial work. Look at planes: they fly us across the country, they deliver our most important and time-sensitive packages, they even bomb our enemies into oblivion. What do helicopters get? Uh, you can report on traffic from them. Or scan the beaches for sharks and drowning victims (sounds like a laugh riot). Or take a quick, overpriced tour of a city that’s over too quickly. Yeah, neat. So now you can bring all that excitement home with your very own S107 3D Alloy-Metal Series 3 Channel RC Helicopter with Gyroscope. We didn’t pick the name; trust us. But it’ll do all that helicopter-type stuff: hover, fly around, crash into the ground. You know, the usual. Yeah, maybe you should just save up for that remote-controlled plane. sgtmike74 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I wouldn't bother with a 3 channel heli. If you want to have fun you need to go with a 6 channel and up. Do some 3d flying.
