bradleyjs Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 I just got my TM Hotas Warthog today (thank GOD!!!) - anyway - I'm not sure how to program the "Rotary Wheel" - I'd like to make my "zoom in/out" option but A-10C doesn't seem to recognize it (within the Control panel). Pls let me know how to set it up? ps. All of the other default HOTAS functions work perfectly.. DocSigma Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Just double click the slot ( this should bring up a new window for axis assignment) under the warthog throttle column for zoom in/out and just move the rotary and it should auto-detect. bradleyjs Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Just double click the slot ( this should bring up a new window for axis assignment) under the warthog throttle column for zoom in/out and just move the rotary and it should auto-detect. I tried that and it didn't do anything... Edit: I figured it out ... was in the wrong area... thanks! nomdeplume Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 It's JOY_SLIDER1, but you don't need to know that. Select the grid cell corresponding to the axis you want the slider to control, and make sure you're selecting it in the throttle column, not anything else. Press the ADD button. Then, just move the slider forward and backward and it will automatically be selected. The only 'trick' to it is that you need to move the control in both directions before the controls screen will register it. So if you just push it up, it won't respond.
DocSigma Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 First thing you do is pull up only the axis commands menu in Dcs a10 under control options. Find the hotas warthog throttle column. ( there should be 2 ....one for the stick and another for the throttle). At the bottom there is the zoom in/out key board command. Double click in that row under the throttle column and it will pull up a new window for the axis. Then move the slider and you should see it assign automatically in that window. Close the window and your new assignment will be shown for throttle in the zoom out/in row. Make sure there are no other assignments there say under your stick or tir column of whatever other input device for that axis.
