Systems Hangs

Hi there everyone,

 

I seem to have a problem with my graphics card i believe. When i go into BS, while on game, my systems just hangs for a 3 - 5secs and carries on again.This does not happen once but numureous times. Using ATI 5700 with the new Catylst driver 10.12. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?

Have you verified that you are not suffering from overheats?

 

Get HWmonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html) and let that sit in the background while you replicate the issue, and report the temperatures that it gives you as max for CPU, cpu cores, and GPU.

 

(This might be overheats causing the CPU and/or GPU to "throttle" themselves - that is, they're forced to slow down to reduce heat generation.)
