Finally going to build a simple pit for BS and A10

Going to use up my stack of 2x4s before they get warped. Mounting my throttle in a hole on the left side, placement will be just in front of the seat but exact position is still TBD. I am hoping to use a center stick like Sharkster did. Going to use Helios for my lower touch screen and the upper will be my 22" for now and a larger 32" or bigger when I get some funds. Also hoping to get MFDs with screens as well. Any way here are the pics.

Might want to mock up something for that throttle. It seems to high. In the real thing the top of the throttle plate is almost level with the top of your seat... not arm rest high. If you have something like a warthog it will be hard to keep your fingers on the coolie and microstick with it that high. See if you cant rig up something to see if it feels right before committing to your cuts (speaking from the guy who had to cut down his original side consoles twice.)

Thanks for the tip. I was planning on having the base of my G940 flush with the sides. So only the buttons would stick up and the throttle lever. So, are you thinking having the throttle sit on the same level as my lower monitor and stick? Right now I play on top of my desk, so anything is lower and better. :)

My seat height is just above the lower monitor desktop. The current hole for the throttle is 2.5" above seat height. The hole is 2" below side shelf height. So, not sure how tall my g940 throttle is, but I would say total height is about 8" above seat height. Seems low enough to me sitting in my office chair at work. Armrests are actually 8" above seat height as well so pretty good approximation.

Since the sides will be standalone components I could always shorten them after completion as they will not affect the monitor heights. First pit I will be building so I am sure there will be some rework as the build progresses. Need a small shelf on the side to stick the computer on as well.
