You need to be much more specific, and include your track file, I could write for 30min about the startup procedure (You don't want that!).

Where exactly are you losing the instructor? While setting the throttle from off to idle? or one of the other countless steps?

System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer

I'm not losing the instructor, it's when I'm told to hit RAlt+Home to start the left engine then the RCtrl + Home to start the right. It doesnt work, nothing happens. I've checked the key to make sure i have the right one it just doesnt do anything.

I see. First, try setting the engines off (I think this is a bug [i'm assuming you're not using a TM warthog]) by hitting RAlt+end and RCtrl+end, then try cycling the engines back on, one at a time.

I had this problem in the past until I upgraded to the TM warthog, I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

I also have a hazy memory of reading something that indicated that programing this feature to a joystick, other than the TM, might be difficult. Not really sure why, like I said it's a hazy memory but it's floating around up there...

First and FOREMOST... Make sure your throttle is calibrated and that they are all the way at idle before you try to start the engine or nothing will happen

Now where is that speed brakes control again?

Do a google search for TM warthog

The TM warthog=thrustmaster warthog, a very expensive (some might say overpriced ;)) HOTAS system made by the company thrustmaster.

It's a very close replica of the a10c controls. And if you ask me, a damn nifty toy. However with a price tag in the 500's and some real concerns about reliabilty (my first throttle died after 3 weeks, it was promptly replaced by TM) I can't in good faith give it a full recommendation. If you've got the dough, however, it will make the sim much more immersive IMHO

@RECOIL. Out of curiosity, what was the solution to your engine issue?
