Setting up the helipad in a FARP

I have been trying to set up a FARP. i have put the vehicles and FARP tent, ammo depot, command post, and refueling station down as well. everytime i try to set my takeoff point to the group of these objects, the helicopter snaps to a runway. I do not understand how to set up the helipads and create a farp from which i can take off at the start of a mission. Can someone please explain to me how to do this? thanks

I know you built it, but what I meant is do you have red units around it? If you have more red than blue, it will be a red FARP even if you called it a blue farp when you created it.
