Ranger79 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Hey everyone, I have seen a great improvement in loading times, FPS, and playability by placing the entire game on an .img and running in through DataRam Ramdisk. I also tested it with FC2 and also had great success. If you have 8 - 12 GBs of ram, this may be an option for you. Just thought I would share with everyone, hopefully it will help someone. Ranger79 Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Basically you need to have enough RAM to run windows, operate your graphics cards, and the rest can be utilized for DataRam RamDisk (http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk). I currently have 12 GB's of Ram in which I utilize 8 GB's for RamDisk. Once in the program, create a virtual drive, then install the game to the virtual drive. You can then create a .img file for the game. I have an .img for both A-10c Beta and FC2. I have seen increases in LOMAC FC2 of 7-12 FPS, and the loading screens are around 50% faster. PM me if you would like additional information.
