Hi,

I am searching YT for a good slow(!) mouse hovering BS startup procedure with preferable speech (which isn't really necessary). Most of the VIDS are fast peacing vids were people try to show off their skills. I found a good VID from Matt Wagner but its in a low res and i cant see the exactly what he is doing. Another thing that im suprised off is the different sequence people use in order to start her up. I am convinced that there is only 1 procedure for all BS pilots.

Yes, within the BS training section there is a good tutorial. But im using a second monitor to run the YT vid on, running BS in windowed mode so i can pause the YT vid without BS getting minimized. And i havent discovered a method to run BS twice.

Does anybody have a link for me which has the demanding tutorial?

Without sollutions there aren't any problems

Why dont you just print those few pages from the checklist in the manual?

They have annotations which include the default shortcut key combination and a description on which panel the specific button is located.

Iґd really recomment doing this as they also include procedures which most vids just left out like all the system testing.

After working through the checklist a few times you will be as fast as those guys showing their skills off :)

Well, I have noticed that BS is hardcore! As im not a person that learns theory and than put the theory in practice, im the other way around. I will head of to the manual to learn more about specific system in the BS. I will also get into the rookie thread at this forum. For as now i just cant wait to start her up for the first time and have a quick spin with her. And the word "spin" should be taken literary im afraid:cry:

Well guys, i started her up manually and my god...i loved it!!

The sound of the APU is so great to hear. And then, the engines, the WOOP WOOP of the rotors. And the LOOK of the rotors is just amazing!!

I must admit, im a plane guy. But this...this is a must have! I took it for a spin. The first two minutes were hard. Much much harder than any aircraft i have ever flown on the PC. But i got hold of her (without trim), did a go around and landed. A bit hard landing but okay...

This is going to screw up my social life. (Did i have any?):pilotfly:

After learning startup, your first job in flight should be to learn the trimmer. Hitting the trimmer button will reset the dead zones on your rudder and cyclic. So, when you take your hand off them, they stay where they were when you hit the trimmer. If you have the autopilot on, and you should, the autopilot will also try to keep pitch, bank, and yaw where they are when you hit the trimmer. So, two systems working together. Also, if you hit the hold altitude button on the autopilot, the computer will try to keep your altitude steady. The computer though will only do this within 20% of the movement of the controls. This allows you fly with it on, but large wind gusts etc can push the copter around beyond this 20% control. If you push the collective beyond 20% to go higher or lower, and then stabilize, you can hit the "F" key, to engage and then release the collective brake, which will reset the "hold altitudes" set height to what you are stabilized at now.

Now, use the trimmer liberally, all the time. It helps with flight in combat immensely. Another thing to know is the GunSight switch. Takes you from Shkval, which takes a lot of doing and attention, to a simple gunsight fixed at 1100 meters for up close knife fights. Great when used with the cannon against other aircraft and also useful with rockets against tanks, vehicles, and infantry.
