Kaptn Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) While doing startup procedures, after a few beers tonight, I noticed something. I just wanted to share this which just goes to show the amount of detail ED has put in to this simulation. It was just great. After APU start and APU gen on I didn't initiate the ac gen power. I turned on the left engine, which throttled up to its normal 24%-25% then I throttled up the right Engine which would not push past 20%. I looked behind me and saw my left engine fans rotating fast and steady, I looked to the right and the right engine fans where noticeable slower. Meh - so what - I went through the rest of the procedures and throttled up to taxi; yes I turned right and right in to the hangar wall. I finally realized what I did wrong after pulling out my cheat sheet for the startup procedure. ED never ceases to amaze me. Thanks ED for taking our hobby to the next level and then some. Dynamo Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Yes, the detail is great. Try a startup with out all the fuel pump switches on. You will struggle to get 2 engines running. Playing with the throttles back and forth in this state make you think it will almost get to full revs, but never does. Good stuff...
