Exorcet Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 There is a whole section about them in the PDF manual that comes with the game, though I found it a little confusing. You can also use the search function on the forum as there are already threads on them. But anyway, they are ways to script certain events in your missions. For example, if you want to simulate the enemy responding to a surprise bomber strike, you would put a trigger on a certain ground target. Once that target is destroyed, it the trigger would (for example) spawn fighters at a nearby airbase that would take off and attack the bombers. There are many kinds of triggers, but they basically work by setting activation requirements and an effect. In the above example, the activation requirement is that the ground target is destroyed. The effect is that fighters take off. Read the manual and experiment. If you have more specific questions, come back and try looking through past threads. Grimes Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 They have a basic cause and effect functionality. There are limits to what can be done, but it is a quite capable system. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
